Proactiv has rolled out new Acne & Dark Spot Repair, a system designed to help clear skin and gradually fade post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or dark spots on the skin that can sometimes take months to fade.

After acne clears, dark spots are sometimes left behind, ranging in color from pink to brown depending on skin tone. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, many people mistakenly believe these spots are acne scars. Unlike acne scars, the spots will eventually fade; however, there are ways to make them fade more quickly with skin lightening treatments and regular use of oil-free sunscreen.

The Proactiv Acne & Dark Spot Repair system containsthe Proactiv 3-Step System (Renewing Cleanser, Revitalizing Toner and Repairing Treatment), plus a Dark Spot Corrector formulated with 2% hydroquinone designed to fade skin discoloration, and a Daily Protection Plus Sunscreen SPF 30 specifically designed for acne prone skin.
