Dessange Buys Fantastic Sams

2012-01-19 | 09:24

Dessange International thinks that Fantastic Sams is, well, fantastic. Dessange acquired the hair salon franchise for an undisclosed amount. The purchase doubles Dessange International’s franchise network to more than 2,000 salons, 1,500 of which are outside of France.

“The acquisition of Fantastic Sams is in line with Dessange International’s expansion strategy in the United States, following the acquisition of the Dessange Paris North American master franchise in April 2011,” Dessange International stated.

Dessange International plans first to introduce and develop its Camille Albane brand in North America.

“Our goal is to have over 2,000 Fantastic Sams and 300 Camille Albane salons,” stated Scott Colabuono, president and chief executive officer of Fantastic Sams International.

Fantastic Sams, whose parent company was Fantastic Sams Holding Corp., was founded in Memphis in 1974. Its salons have affordably priced services and retail hair care products.

Dessange International is in 45 countries through the Dessange Paris and Camille Albane brands.
