Happi Top 30 company Shiseido’s Blue Project’s Fourth-Annual West Coast beach clean-up, hosted by the celebrity Nina Dobrev, took place on Wednesday, Aug. 7 alongside World Surf League (WSL) and Wildcoast – an international team that conserves coastal and marine ecosystems and addresses climate change through natural solutions.

For the third year in a row, Shiseido partnered with WSL to launch the limited-edition Shiseido x WSL Ultimate Sun Protector Lotion SPF 60+ & Clear Sunscreen Stick SPF 50+ products.

Established in 2019, Shiseido Blue Project is a global effort to promote the protection of the ocean. Through this initiative, Shiseido and WSL have collaborated on a series of activities that promote respect for our oceans. These activities include cleaning up beaches, oyster restoration, leading global initiatives like WSL One Ocean and promoting skin sun-safe habits.

Wildcoast is committed to ocean conservation through various programs, such as the management and conservation of 545,280 acres of marine protected areas off California’s coast, as well as their marine debris program, which has stopped over 225,000 lbs. of solid waste like plastic and tires from entering the Pacific Ocean.

This clean-up brought the community together to learn more about and inspire action for the #WSLOneOcean initiative, said Shiseido.
