After a nine year run as president of The Fragrance Foundation, Rochelle Bloom is stepping down to pursue other interests. The move is effective at the end of the year. A successor has not been named.

In a statement, The Fragrance Foundation Chairman Jill Belasco said “Rochelle has extended the Foundation’s global reach and awareness via expanded licensing, broadened consumer outreach via a revamped website, social media and events and strengthened its highly respected certification program significantly. The Fragrance Foundation is a more open and inclusive organization today because of Mrs. Bloom’s leadership and we thank her for all of her efforts on behalf of the industry.”

Under Bloom’s leadership, The Fragrance Foundation signed licensing agreements with organizations in Dubai and Russia, and is in the processing of signing a similar agreement with Brazil.

Bloom told Women’s Wear Daily that she was proud of having expanded the Foundation’s reach by opening membership to media and retail executives. She also worked to include middle management of the member companies by creating an associate board.
