Mission Skincare has signed a deal with Major League Baseball Properties, which could be a run marketing effort as it rolls out its new Anti-Sting SPF 30+ Facesticks, SPF 15 Lip Balms and a Kids All-Sport Continuous Spray SPF 50+.

The New York-based brand—which was co-founded by more than a dozen of the world’s greatest athletes, including MLB All-Star David Wright of the New York Mets—will be conducting promotions emphasizing product awareness.

The deal is the company’s first-ever sunscreen license with MLB.

“As one of the athlete co-founders at Mission Skincare, I’m very excited to see Major League Baseball join forces with my company to bring attention to this important cause,” said Wright. “Wearing sunscreen is just as important as wearing your cleats, glove and helmet … everyone needs to properly equip their skin too.”

“We’re honored to begin this relationship with Major League Baseball,” added sports dermatologist, Brian B. Adams, author of “Sports Dermatology” and head of innovation for Mission Skincare. “We are proud to be able to supply all of the teams and players with the equipment to help protect their skin from the sun’s harmful rays. In addition, as MLB players are important role models for the youth of America, this relationship will seek to raise awareness of the critical importance of incorporating sunscreen into everyone’s daily routine”
