J&J Prevails in Baby Powder Case

Case involved woman who used iconic product as child and an adult.

According to several reports breaking on Monday, Dec. 16, 2019, a California jury has ruled in favor of Johnson & Johnson in a case involving a woman who claimed her mesothelioma was caused by the company’s baby powder that she used as a child and as an adult. The case, Fong v. Johnson & Johnson, was heard in the  Los Angeles Superior Court.

According to a report published by Courtroom View Network, the jury ruled in favor of J&J regarding design defect, failure to warn, and negligence claims. 
 
This was the sixth trial win for J&J in nationwide litigation, reported Bloomberg Law.
