As a result of the very successful sales cooperation in Spain, Biesterfeld is strengthening its partnership with Sytheon (booth 1449) in Europe and expanding its product portfolio by adding a unique range of proprietary and patented active ingredients for the cosmetics industry. The portfolio focuses on nature-inspired active ingredients, mainly targeting problem skin (acne & hyperpigmentation), skin aging, sun protection and skin hydration. For example, Sytenol A is the natural alternative to retinol, with much better skin tolerance, hydrolytical stability and absence of phototoxicity. As an active ingredient, it acts as an antioxidant and is ideal for acne-prone skin and anti-aging products. Synastol TC is a water-soluble active ingredient suitable for certified natural cosmetics products. The raw material, based on a famous ayurvedic plant Terminalia Chebula, is a global anti-aging active thanks to its anti-glycation and glycation reversal properties. The portfolio's HydraSynol IDL and HydraSynol DOI isosorbides are oil-soluble moisture boosters issued from green chemistry. Using different pathways (stimulation of Aquaporins-3 for HydraSynol DOI and of the filaggrin process for HydraSynol IDL), they help to build up the skin's natural protective barrier and re-establish the natural water homeostasis of the skin. Synoxyl HSS is an effective photo stabilizer for photo-sensitive ingredients such as dyes, fragrances and UV filters. Particularly, it was demonstrated to have an in-vivo SPF boosting effects of at least 50% for both organic & inorganic sunscreens. Synovea HR is a safe & effective brightener that works on 8 targets of the melanogenesis pathway. It is also available in a synergistic liquid blend, Asyntra SL that combines hexylresorcinol and Synovea EL (INCI: Ethyl linoleate), a lipid-soluble form of linoleic acid well described in the literature for reducing hyperpigmentation. “Sytheon's highly effective and high purity active ingredients have enriched our existing portfolio, which is already extensive and interesting.
