French maternity-related skin care brand Talm has raised its first round of funding to support expansion efforts.

Caudalie cofounders Mathilde and Bertrand Thomas reportedly took a minority stake in the dermocosmetics maternity brand, though terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Talm – which stands for “to all the mamas”— launched in September 2021 by Kenza Keller, a mother and luxury beauty executive previously employed by Hermès International in Paris and Guerlain in London, following her own skin care issues and concerns using such products while pregnant. Keller, who appeared on The Forbes Frances’ 40 Women list in 2022, sought products that were equal parts sensorial, vegan and eco-conscious for expectant and post-partum mothers.

Talm’s products include hair health supplements to reduce pregnancy-related hair loss, moisturizing body creams and serums to reduce the appearance of stretch marks and more. Bottles are made from glass while its outer packaging is made from compostable corn byproduct— made in France. Natural and raw materials are tracked for transparency and quality control.

Talm’s market presence includes five countries, and 10 international markets, including Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg. An 11th opened this year, with more on the way.
