ACI Makes Staff Promotions

Catherine Anderson, Natalie D’Apolio, Vittoria van Blommestein and Ugur Usumi were promoted across meetings, communications, public affairs and information technology, respectively.

The American Cleaning Institute (ACI) promoted four staff members across its government affairs, communications, meetings and information technology departments.

The promotions include:

Catherine Anderson to Manager, Meetings. Anderson will provide support to the meetings and membership departments, enhancing the coordination of ACI’s member meetings including ACI’s annual Convention and Mid-Year Meeting. Joining ACI in 2022, she previously served as the institute’s meetings and convention coordinator.

Natalie D’Apolito to Manager, Communications and Outreach. D’Apolito, who joined ACI in 2022, previously served as ACI’s Communications and Outreach Coordinator. Her knowledge of digital communications, marketing and content creation supports internal and external communications and outreach efforts.

Vittoria van Blommestein to Public Affairs Manager. Van Blommestein supports ACI’s federal legislative efforts in policy and regulatory research, coordination of advocacy initiatives and strategic support of the Strategic Advisory Committee and ACI’s Political Action Committee (ACI PAC). Joining ACI in 2023, she previously served as ACI’s program coordinator, public affairs.

Ugur Usumi to Associate Vice President, Information Technology. Usumi, who joined ACI in 2011, previously served as ACI’s senior director, information technology. Usumi is responsible for ensuring ACI’s IT infrastructure is reliable, secure and cost efficient while creating value for ACI and its members. These systems enable change, growth and flexibility, which are essential for ACI’s continued success, officials said.

The promotions will allow ACI to further support and strengthen industry priorities.
