Alberto-Culver Completes West Coast Beauty Supply Acquisition

Alberto-Culver Co. completed its acquisition of West Coast Beauty Supply Co. for an unspecified sum. President and chief executive Howard Bernick said he expects the purchase to add about $140 million in sales over the rest of fiscal 2004.

West Coast will add more than 220 professional sales consultants and more than 120 stores in 14 western states, raising Alberto-Culver’s Beauty Systems Group’s staff to more than 1,200 with 650 stores. The deal was first announced in September.
