US Patent No. 9,771,549 B2; Conopco, Inc., Englewood Cliffs, NJ, has patented a cleansing composition that contains a surfactant (soap); an oligodynamic metal selected from the group consisting of silver, oxide, silver nitrate, silver acetate, silver sulfate, silver benzoate, silver salicylate, silver carbonate, silver citrate or silver phosphate; and a chelating agent. The polymer is selected from the group consisting of polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyvinylacetate, polyvinyl alcohol or a copolymer thereof, and mixtures thereof.
