Colonial Chemical Promotes Dr. Andy Sun

Sun becomes global business development director & HI&I business manager.

Colonial Chemical Inc has promoted Dr. Andy Sun to global business development director & HI&I business manager.
 
In this role, Sun will continue serving as the HI&I business manager while taking on increased responsibilities to support and direct Colonial’s international efforts. In keeping with Colonial‘s interest in increasing our presence in the Asia Pacific region, Sun will have total sales and business development responsibility for the Greater China area (including Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong). He will assume control of all customer accounts and distribution relationships in these countries. Sun will be responsible for growing Colonial Chemical product sales for all industry segments in these countries.
 
“Dr. Sun joined Colonial Chemical in May 2016 as the company’s first Business Manager,” stated David Anderson, Jr., president, Colonial Chemical Inc. “He has continued to develop and manage Colonial’s product portfolio for Household, Institutional, and Industrial products including those for Vehicle Care, Emulsion Polymerization and Oilfield. His business acumen and product knowledge has helped usher in a period of rapid growth in these segments, especially in Vehicle Care, where Colonial Chemical has become one of the leading suppliers in the industry in the past four years. We cannot be more pleased to have one of the industry leaders on our team and helping us to grow in the Asia Pacific region.”
 
Sun has a Bachelor of Science degree in Organic Chemistry from Beijing University and a PhD from University of Connecticut in Polymer Science. Prior to Colonial, Sun spent eight years at Air Products leading development and applications of surfactants in I&I and Vehicle Care, and played a key role in developing the Asia Pacific business from both a technical and business strategy perspective.
