Life is a lot like sports…at least that's what most American males tell themselves. But whether a guy is sitting on the couch with a bowl of Doritos or trying to outrun a 260lbs. linebacker, at the end of the day, he wants to look his best. That's why Unilever has teamed up with Philadelphia Eagles' running back DeMarco Murray to help guys clean up better. Whether it's for football gameday on Saturday, a night out, or a big day at the office, a dedicated personal care regimen is key for guys to get ready for life's important moments, according to Unilever, which maintains that 7 out of 10 men today cite their daily grooming routine as helping them feel more confident, both personally and professionally.

“Preparation has been crucial throughout my career, but it's about more than just working out and eating right,” said Murray. “Personal care and personal style are important in everything I do. From body wash and shampoo to my deodorant, a solid morning grooming routine helps me look and feel my best. It's an essential part of how I get game ready.”

“DeMarco believes his personal style not only helps define who he is both on and off the football field, but also helps him prepare for big moments” said Matthew McCarthy, senior director of men's grooming for Unilever. “That's why we were excited to work with him. Most men understand the importance of preparation, but they don't always think about the role of grooming as part of it. This program aims to help guys realize that looking and feeling good helps you prepare and be your most confident self.”

Launching in stores nationwide this month, Get Game Ready offers men grooming options from products across the Unilever men's personal care portfolio, including Axe, Dove Men+Care, Degree Men, Suave Men, and Vaseline Men. It will also feature DeMarco Murray in displays throughout retail stores nationally and is timed to the start of the college football season. It is yet another example of how Unilever is revolutionizing the way men shop.
