Dermalogica Launches VR Skin Care Store With AI Face Mapping Tools

Beauty leader sees success with new serum and shoppable technology.

To celebrate and showcase its latest innovation, Smart Response Serum, Dermalogica has launched an immersive and shoppable VR store in partnership with experiential ecommerce platform Obsess.
Since the launch of the Dermalogica VR store, the page has driven over 5,000 sessions and has received over 17,000 page views and counting. The VR store will also continue to be optimized and evolve as the brand rolls out new launches throughout the year so consumers can continue to engage with the digital experience.
Launching this store, Dermalogica set out to meet consumers where they are as people begin to reintroduce themselves to the world and the future of retail continues to shift.

Rooted in education and innovation, Dermalogica is constantly evolving by incorporating technology to advance skin health knowledge. This latest virtual store initiative will mark the first-time consumers will be able to purchase Dermalogica products in a 3D virtual model and learn about all things skin education from Dermalogica experts including Dr. Angela Murphy (VP of Technology & Innovation) and professional skin therapists.
Within the VR store, Dermalogica has provided an immersive new way to educate consumers on the launches and professional services via expert avatars. Consumers can expect to learn further information on the Smart Response Serum ($135) – a first-of-its kind innovation that delivers what your skin needs, when and where it needs it. In addition, consumers can learn about, Phyto-Nature Firming Serum ($145), BioLumin-C Serum ($89), PreCleanse ($45), Special Cleansing Gel ($45) and in-person services to support the brand’s key pillar, education. Additionally, with the launch of the Dermalogica VR store, consumers will be able to receive a free skin analysis via the Face Mapping tool, watch informative videos and find a skin therapist near them.
