Rihanna, founder and CEO of Fenty Hair, has selected three stylists to represent the brand on a global scale through content creation and education.
New York-based hairstylist Yusef Williams began experimenting with hair at the age of nine. Since then, he’s made his way into the stylist spotlight, creating looks for top luxury brands, A-list celebrities and setting trends as the personal stylist for Rihanna. The two linked up in 2005 for Rihanna’s first fashion show appearance. Williams’ Fenty Hair must-have is the Rich One Moisture Repair Shampoo ($29).
“I’m such a believer in that any good look starts with a clean base,” said Williams. “This shampoo sets the stage for a fresh foundation for any style, cleaning the hair without stripping it of hydration.”
Split between Los Angeles and her own New York-based salon, hairstylist Ursula Stephen has been in the industry for over 25 years, working with all different hair types and styles. She’s known for her memorable looks and campaigns with notable photographers, luxury brands, iconic fashion houses and is the woman behind some of Rihanna’s most hairstyles including her 2012 pixie cut. Stephen’s Fenty Hair must-have is the Protective Type 5-in-1 Heat Protectant Styler ($28).
“I love a good multitasking product,” she said. “This is great for heat protecting to smoothing and even for detangling. The best part about it? it’s inconspicuous! It doesn’t weigh the hair down or compete with other products you may use.”
Marjan entered the industry nearly 20 years ago and has solidified herself as a hair stylist mainstay. When she’s not judging beauty awards, she’s styling from coast to coast, creating how-to’s and hair looks for Hollywood stars. Marjan’s Fenty Hair must-have is the Comeback Kid Instant Damage Repair Treatment Bond Builder ($36).
“This is an amazing bond repairing treatment that can double as a leave-in in place of conditioner!” said Marjan. “I love the way it dramatically repairs hair, leaving it feeling smooth and moisturized, and that it works with all hair types – from curly and thick to more fine.”
