Glossier Unveils New York City Flagship Store

For 2023, Glossier got a glow up with its Soho location. Located at 72 Spring Street in Soho, the beauty space has modern design elements and shopping features.

According to the beauty company, the concrete floors and plaster walls bring the feeling of a SoHo loft through rawness and industrial finishes, while the upholstered, plush sofas add a softer, more residential touch to the space. 
 
Glossier NYC’s ninth location and latest flagship store greets guests with a “You Look Good.” tile mosaic embedded in the concrete floor.

As with all locations, Glossier NYC suggests shoppers try and test products. Two 15-foot long tables are now in the main area for guests to find, swatch, feel and use Glossier products. According to the company, its product testing system includes a special wet bar room for trying skincare products.

A secret “You Look Good.” room in the back of the store has a larger-than-life Glossier mural and a wooden bench inspired by subway platform seating.

Glossier Gift Shop

For the store redesign, Glossier also devoted a special “gift shop” where customers can find its full line of merchandise. A black hoodie is exclusive to the site.

Non-Profits Partnership

At all of Glossier retail locations, the company partners with area non-profits whose work directly impacts the local community. For each Glossier NYC Embroidered Hoodie sold at Glossier NYC, the company will donate $5 to the Sadie Nash Leadership Project, whose mission is to strengthen, empower and equip young women and gender-expansive youth of color as agents for change in their lives and in the world.
 

Glossier Expansion in 2023 

2023 is a “transformational year” for Glossier with plans to enter Sephora doors across North America. Following the record-breaking success of the Brooklyn store opening in November 2022, in which the brand’s sales doubled the forecast and saw a 600+ person line outside, Glossier will add more freestanding stores in the US throughout the first half of 2023.
 
Glossier launched in 2014 with four essential products that emphasize “glowy, dewy skin.” Today, there are more than 46 products spanning skin care, makeup, fragrance, and body care, as well as a sought-after line of merchandise. Digitally, videos tagged #glossier just passed 1 billion views on TikTok and there are more than 2.7 million dedicated followers on Instagram.
