Groupe Rocher Sells Ploërmel Production Site

Groupe Rocher has sold its plant in Ploërmel, France. The site had been part of the company’s production efforts since 1982.

Arcade Beauty, the new owner of the facility, will manufacture fragrances for Groupe Rocher on site for at least five years.

Groupe Rocher said negotiations led to a sale agreement that guaranteed the development of the site. All the teams onsite have been taken over by Arcade Beauty and, in addition to taking over current production of fragrance for five years, an additional 10 million units of fragrance will be brought to the site by Arcade Beauty over the next two years.

“The signing of this agreement marks the beginning of a happy new chapter for the Ploërmel site,”  said Jean-David Schwartz, CEO of Groupe Rocher. “First and foremost, I would like to thank all the teams from this emblematic site: they have made and continue to make the Group proud. I’m also delighted to be handing it over to Arcade Beauty, in whom I have complete confidence to continue developing this site with its exceptional human and industrial expertise. The guarantees provided by Arcade Beauty and the Group in the agreement ensure a great future for the plant.”

Groupe Rocher has seven brands—Yves Rocher, Arbonne, Petit Bateau, Stanhome, Kiotis, Dr Pierre Ricaud, ID Parfums and Sabon. In May, Rocher announced that it had agreed to sell the Flormar brand to a consortium of Turkish investors.
