Today HelloAva has launched their “My Hair” beta haircare platform, utilizing their AI-driven diagnostic technology to analyze hair and provide their users with personalized product recommendations from 40+ brands including L’Oréal, Dove, Tresemme, R+Co, Oribe and Living Proof. HelloAva is a technology platform powered by artificial intelligence (AI) that specializes in providing consumers with tailored skincare advice. The My Hair beta stems from a partnership between HelloAva and Unilever, harnessing HelloAva’s technology and Unilever’s hair expertise to co-develop a web app on Unilever’s hair content publishing website All Things Hair. This program allows Unilever to provide its customers with more insight into their specific hair needs and match them with the appropriate product. Today, the most recent form of the partnership launches on the HelloAva’s website. Through the HelloAva website, users will answer questions about their current hair, hair care routine and upload a photo of their hair. The tool will use this information, along with a detailed understanding of the ingredients and function of each product, to recommend a series of products. Consumers will receive personalized advice on how to maintain healthy hair and create a regular routine. People of all hair types will be able to access relevant, specialist advice and purchase quality, individually curated products through the website. Over time the technology will be able to make increasingly complex recommendations as more consumers complete the experience and more functionality is added. HelloAva co-founder and CEO, Siqi Mou commented, “Unilever has world-leading R&D expertise in personal care products, and when combined with HelloAva’s unique personalization engine powered by AI, it creates a win-win opportunity that enables consumers to achieve the best user experience finding personalized hair care and personal care product solutions without the noise.
