Kiehl’s Adds Facial Services

Also to incorporate digital consultations.

Kiehl’s Since 1851, the original purveyor of apothecary-inspired naturally derived skin care for men and women, is launching three esthetician-inspired facial services and its first entirely digital skincare consultation to elevate the in-store experience within Kiehl’s freestanding locations.

Three new 20-minute services using elevated tools will debut across its fleet of 80 stores. The services will be offered complimentary with tiered purchase thresholds, while offering customers the chance to redeem the offer immediately or to book an appointment for a later date.

Kiehl’s Skin Care Experts, known as KCRs, will perform the services. Kiehl’s expects to begin booking through an online portal at Kiehls.com later in the year as well as introducing licensed estheticians into each door for new unique services. Each service seeks to achieve a specific result for the customer’s individual needs and correlates to a recommended product routine for maximizing results.

In other news, as part of Kiehl’s Made Better initiative focused on using more sustainably sourced and naturally-derived ingredients, as well as recycled ingredients and responsible packaging and manufacturing practices, the heritage brand will shift to all digital consultations in-store using its new Healthy Skin Hub. The digital one- on-one is performed by a KCR using an iPad to guide the consumer through a series of questions and physical measurements, including the Healthy Skin Assessment Tool launching later this year.

The tool measures the skin barrier’s health and hydration levels and feeds it directly back to the Hub to recommend the best product routine for the customer’s individual needs.
