Presperse Appoints Smith Global Accounts Manager




Presperse:

Diana Smith has joined Presperse, Inc. as the new global accounts manager. In this role, Ms. Smith will be responsible for leading and coordinating all of our technical development and commercial efforts at Estée Lauder and Procter & Gamble, working directly with the development teams at all locations globally. Ms. Smith has a chemistry/biology degree from Florida Tech University and more than 20 years of experience in the cosmetic industry, working through positions in R&D, formulations development, customer technical service, sales and marketing. Ms. Smith’s materials background includes work on active ingredients, powders, colorants and fragrances for use in skin care, hair care and color cosmetics.

TRI/Princeton:

Appointed Dr. Prakash Naiksatam as senior scientist–formulation science. Dr. Naiksatam holds a B.S. in chemistry and an M.S. in organic chemistry from Poona University and a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Kent State University. After earning his Ph.D., Dr. Naiksatam held a post-doctoral research fellow position at S.U.N.Y. Stonybrook.

Most recently, Dr. Naiksatam was a senior chemist at Church & Dwight where he developed formulations for depilatories.

TRI-K:

John Greco has been appointed   marketing assistant. Prior to joining TRI-K, Mr. Greco worked as an editorial and marketing assistant for Everbind/Marco Book Company. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from William Paterson University. Jayson Goodner and Jessie Desroulneaux were hired as R&D chemists. Prior to joining TRI-K, Mr. Goodner served as a chemist for Air Products & Chemicals and Avon. Ms. Desrouleaux has many years experience in the personal care industry and has previously held positions at Avon, Florasynth Inc., Fragrance Resources, C.E.I. Cosmetics and J. Manheimer.

BioOrganic Concepts:

Recently expanded its North American operations with the addition of Karry Clausen and Mel Hoyt. Both Mr. Clausen and Mr. Hoyt operate as regional sales managers, with Mr. Clausen overseeing sales activities in the Midwest and Canada and Mr. Hoyt managing activities in the Eastern U.S.

Mr. Clausen comes to BioOrganic with vast industry R&D and sales experience. He spent the first 10 years of his career working in R&D with the Richardson Company. He’s since held sales positions with companies that include Croda and CP Hall. Most recently, Clausen spent the last 10 years in sales distribution with International Sourcing.

Mr. Hoyt comes to BioOrganic with experience in the food, industrial, personal care and pharmaceutical industries. He’s held positions for GAF (now ISP), Lonza, Onyx Chemical (now part of Stepan) and BASF. Prior to his position with BioOrganic Concepts, he worked in sales distribution with International Sourcing.


Gemini Cosmetics:

Appointed Dana L. Kline as vice president, sales. Prior to joining Gemini, Ms. Kline was executive director, USA, of Le Couvent des Minimes, a pilot program for L’Occitane.
