Novel research proved antivirus efficacy of Sanilac, Purac’s registered biobased antimicrobial active and preservative, against a range of enveloped viruses. The combination of antibacterial and antivirus action into one single ingredient makes PURAC Sanilac unique, according to the company.

Purac Sanilac is Purac’s registered L(+) Lactic Acid used as an antimicrobial agent. It is used in several consumer, industrial and institutional disinfecting and cleaning products, because of its high antimicrobial efficacy and excellent environmental profile. Purac Sanilac is biobased, produced by the fermentation of carbohydrates and is readily biodegradable and non-toxic to the environment and humans. It has a Generally Regarded As Safe (GRAS) status.
