Sara Lee Elects Michael Flatow as Vice President

Sara Lee Corp., Chicago, announced that its board of directors has elected Michael Flatow as vice president of the corporation, effective immediately.

Mr. Flatow is chief customer officer for Sara Lee Branded Apparel North America, driving the strategic alliances with the apparel business’s customers. In addition, he is responsible for Sara Lee Branded Apparel’s Latin American region.

Mr. Flatow joined Sara Lee more than 15 years ago as director of marketing for the L’eggs brand. He has held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility within Sara Lee’s apparel line of business, including serving as president of Hanes Hosiery, president of L’eggs, chief executive officer of the Sara Lee Personal Products Australia division, president of Champion Products, and president and chief executive officer of Sara Lee Hosiery.

Prior to joining Sara Lee, Mr. Flatow was vice president of marketing for American Express Company’s travel products division and a group brand manager for Clairol Inc.
