US Patent No. 11,844,855 B2 (Patricia Trajano, Angeles Fonolla-Moreno, Renata Souto Maior Afonso Ferreira); L'Oreal, Paris, has patented a sun care composition for whitening a skin that is comprised of a UVA filter system; a whitening system configured to act at different levels of pigmentation of melasma for whitening the skin, the whitening system including at least neohesperidin dihydrochalcone, capryloyl salicylic acid, and dipotassium glycyrrhizate; and a combination of at least two antioxidants selected from at least one vitamin (tocopherol) and at least one vegetal extract selected from Zingiber officinale (ginger) root extract, Sanguisorba officinalis root extract, Cinnamomum cassia bark extract or their mixtures.
