Lipstick Leads Global Beauty Product Sales

Other topselling beauty products include mascara, bronzer, eye shadow and foundation.

Beauty experts at Lilac St. conducted research to discover the most desired beauty products in the industry today, and which countries are the most enthralled.
 
Using Google Trends data, the research centers on the popularity percentages of five main beauty products: mascara, bronzer, eye shadow, lipstick and foundation. Countries were chosen based on their overall interest in these products, with a special focus on those having an interest rate that meets or exceeds 50%.

Lipstick is Red-Hot in Chile 


Chile has appeared as the leading country with its keen interest in beauty products, especially lipstick, which is the top choice for 45% of people, analysts say. However, eye shadow is considerably lower among make-up lovers, at 8%.
 
Spain follows closely in second, with a significant fondness for lipstick at 38%. While enhancing the lips is a top priority for Spanish beauty lovers, the foundation is a less popular choice, receiving only 13% of the interest. 
 
Argentina, which came in third place, strongly prefers lining their lips, with a 44% interest in lipstick. Argentinians also prefer enhancing their lashes, as shown by the 29% admiration for mascara.
 
Mexico is ranked fourth in terms of interest in beauty products, with a strong preference for lipstick, with 43% of interest. Mexicans are also interested in emphasizing their eyes, with mascara capturing a 29% interest.
 
Colombia, ranked fifth, has a well-balanced beauty industry. Chile has appeared as the leading country with its keen interest in beauty products, especially lipstick, which is the top choice for 45% of people.
 
Regarding their makeup routine, beauty enthusiasts in the country give equal importance to both lip and eye products, showing nearly the same level of interest in lipstick and mascara, with 35% and 34%.

Greece is in sixth locale and strongly likes lipstick, which shows 37% interest. Greek beauty focuses on multiple aspects, including lips, eyes, and skin, with mascara earning 28% of attention and foundation receiving 20%.
 
Ranked seventh, Peru's beauty scene is dominated by lipstick, which holds 54% interest.  In contrast, bronzer receives the least attention from beauty enthusiasts in Peru, with only 1% interest. 
 
Italy is ranked eighth with balanced interest in mascara and lipstick, capturing 30% interest. While Italian beauty enthusiasts appreciate enhancing their lashes and lips equally, their interest in eye shadow is less noticeable, at 9%.
 
Germany, ranked ninth, shares similar beauty preferences with Italy. Both countries highly value mascara and lipstick, with a 28% interest in each. German beauty lovers are obsessed with enhancing their lashes and lips. Additionally, the foundation is also highly sought after, with 24%.
 
Austria is the last country on the top ten list. They are strongly interested in mascara, with 32% of people preferring to emphasize their eyelashes. Here, the foundation enjoys popularity with a significant 24% interest, while eye shadow has 11%.
