Ulta Is Moving to the S&P 500

Fast growing beauty retailer will join April 15.

Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance Inc. is moving to the S&P 500. The beauty retailer will replace Tenet Healthcare Corp., which in turn will replace Jarden Corp. in the S&P MidCap 400 after the close of trading on Friday, April 15.

S&P 500 constituent Newell Rubbermaid Inc. announced its plan to acquire Jarden in December. That deal is expected to be completed on or about April 15,  pending final approval. Jarden is owner of the Yankee Candle brand.

Ulta Salon will be added to the S&P 500 Specialty Stores Sub-Industry index.
