New York Fashion Week
(NYFW) is in full swing in New York showcasing all the hot looks for Spring and Summer 2019. In Redken
's report from Longchamp, Guido, Redken Global Creative Director, told Happi: “Every brand has a personality, and to me, Longchamp is very French, rich, and cool, with a touch of individuality. This look is all about bringing out the best hair each girl has. I’m slightly blowing their hair out with a tiny bit of Redken Satinwear 04 to seal the cuticle, then I’m allowing it to dry on its own to look effortlessly chic. I’m using very light products at this show to keep the look slightly unfinished – if needed, I can always add more, but it’s harder to take product away if you use too much. We’ve also braided a few of the models to give them character.”
Creative Director Antoinette Beenders recently lead a team of stylists backstage at the Stella McCartney show in Milan to create a natural, sophisticated look for the debut of McCartney’s Women’s Resort 2019 and Men’s S/S 2019 collections.
The look from Beenders mirrors the contemporary, effortlessly cool silhouettes and shapes that McCartney is known for in her collections, daily street style and beyond, said sources at Aveda. Key products in the hairstyling included the popular Smooth Infusion style prep crème as well as Damage Remedy daily hair repair treatment to keep tresses fresh and healthy.
Aveda has been making headlines lately with the re-issue of its classic Cherry Almond
formula, as reported in Happi.
