Croda Inc.: Jena Kinney assumed the position of marketing manager, home care and functional specialities and is responsible for Croda’s interests in the industrial and household product arena. She most recently held the position of account manager for HC&FS in Croda’s Midwest region.
Karen Chen was appointed marketing manager, skin care and makeup. Prior to joining Croda, Ms. Chen worked in sales at Wacker Chemical Corp. and Biosil Technologies.
Quest International: Matt Frost, formerly the vice president of marketing for fine fragrances in North America, has been promoted to the new position of vice president, global fine fragrance marketing.
Frederic Walter has been named to the new position of creative director. He was previously marketing director for fine fragrance for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Isabel Ryan, formerly director of fine fragrance development, has been named vice president of fine fragrance development for North America.
Isabelle Fulconis has been named to the new position of marketing director, fine fragrance for Europe. She was formerly strategy marketing manager.
Markwins International: Shawn Haynes was promoted to senior vice president of global marketing for gift sets, collections and bags. Tina Perez has been promoted to senior vice president of global marketing for the North America everyday branded business. Claire Dennis has been promoted to senior brand manager.
ICMAD: David Schieffelin, Models Prefer Ltd., was elected president of the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers & Distributors, Inc. at the board meeting in New York City in May. Other elected officers include vice president: Pamela Viglielmo, The Gramercy House; vice president: Carl Geffken, Carl Geffken Consultants; treasurer: Howard Baker, H. Baker Development; secretary: Sharon Blinkoff, Buchanan Ingersoll, PC.
Rexam: Following the acquisition of Airspray International in May 2006, Rexam appointed Robert Brands managing director of the dispensing systems division, which will now include Rexam Airspray. He will replace Maurice Petitjean, who has decided to pursue an opportunity outside Rexam.
Hervé Bichon, global sales and marketing director for dispensing systems, was appointed deputy managing director for the division. In this new position, he will assume additional operational responsibility in Europe.
Sonneborn: Sara Logue was appointed account manager covering the gulf region sales area; she most recently was at Nynas USA as a sales manager.
Alex Petrovsky was appointed account manager for the southeast sales area. He previously worked for more than 20 years at Quaker Chemical Corp.
FIDM: Founder and chief executive officer of Joan Public Relations and Marketing Joan Komorowski joined the staff of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles, teaching in the beauty industry merchandising and marketing department.
Formulated Solutions: Vincent Prigitano was hired as controller to oversee and manage the consumer products company’s growth. He was previously with Tape & Label Engineering, as chief operating officer and vice president of finance.
Colonial Chemical: Robert J. Coots has assumed the position of manager, research and development. He was previosly a research chemist at Synair Corporation.
Derma E Natural Bodycare: Connie Harikul was hired as in-house public relations manager. She has a BA in mass communications from the University of California.
Honeywell: Philip Orawski will be responsible for the global sales and marketing of Asensa Personal Care Products, Honeywell’s new line of personal care ingredients. He was previously with Abitec as director of sales and marketing.
Malena Higuera will be responsible for leveraging Honeywell’s personal care technology and material platforms. She was previously with Ajinomoto as director of sales and marketing.
TRI/Princeton: Dr. Peter D. Kaplan was appointed research director of the personal care group. Most recently, he was the director of measurement science at Unilever Research and Development.
Angus Chemical Co.: Alan Whetten has been named director of research and development. His responsibilities will include running the global Angus R&D and technical service organizations including product, process and applications R&D development.
Creative Nail Design: Shannon Aceman received the Regional Manager of the Year award. Ms. Aceman independently managed sales, support and education for Canada.
Solvay America, Inc.: Carolyn Egbert was named to the newly created position of vice president of compliance and corporate responsibility. Most recently she served as vice president, global HR pharma, for the worldwide Solvay Pharmaceuticals organization.
ThermaFuse: Mike Niles and Diane Niles have been hired as sales associates, representing ThermaFuse in Long Island, NY.
Chemcentral: Gary E. Anderson has been elected to the board of directors. He is a retired chairman of the board of Dow Corning Corp.
Crown Risdon: Claire Santopietro has been promoted to director of sales. She will also assume the key account responsibility for Crown Risdon’s customer, Estée Lauder.
Estée Lauder: Beth DiNardo was named senior vice president/general manager of Rodan and Fields Worldwide and of Darphin North America.
Jane Lauder was appointed senior vice president, global marketing, for Clinique. She is a granddaughter of the company’s founder, Estée Lauder.
Julie Howard was named senior vice president, global marketing and brand development, BeautyBank.
Jim Nevins was named senior vice president/global creative director for Clinique.
DeWolf Chemical: Ann Marie Canty has been appointed supply chain manager. She was previously supply chain manager at Rogers Corp.
Dieter Bakic Enterprises: Maximilian Skaupy is now responsible for European sales.
Beate Sievers has been hired as director of marketing; Claudio Seidel has been hired as marketing and public relations manager.
