Maria Shishkina and Lilia Nigmatullina of CND and Russian distributor, Ole House, took first and third places respectively in the MixMedia Nail Art Boxed category at the 2008 Nailympics competition in London. Following a string of qualifying competitions, including the Regional Championships and Moscow's NailExpo contest in February, six Russian contestants won the right to participate in the Nailympics.
Ms. Shishkina from St. Petersburg placed first with her entry inspired by the famous comedy, "Roman Holiday.” She is no stranger to the competition. Last year, she won first place in both the Liquid & Powder and Gel categories.
Ms. Nigmatullina from Moscow placed third for her interpretation of Jeanne D'Arc's life. Both entries, using CND's Liquid & Powder and Gel formulas, took a unique theme and brought it to life using brilliant nail styling technique, according to the company.
