Kolmar Laboratories has received a multiyear $4.5 million financial package of incentives for its Port Jervis operation which will allow the company to invest in its facilities, operations capabilities and its employees.
The company and its board are also committed to invest over $23 million in Kolmar over the next three years.
Working with Empire State Development and local and state officials, Kolmar’s board and management team have reached a mutually beneficial agreement benefiting the company, its employees and our community.In addition to the ESD funding, Kolmar will receive additional assistance from local partners and elected officials totaling $500,000;$250,000 from Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther and $250,000 from the Office of Community Renewal.
“I am very pleased to acknowledge the hard work, commitment and vision of our community and state leaders who helped drive this effort to a successful conclusion”, stated the Kolmar Chairman Joseph Healy. “Empire State Development, led by Dennis Mullen, as well as the unwavering commitment of Senator John Bonacic, Orange County Executive Edward Diana and Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther showed their deep understanding and shared commitment to business growth and good jobs in New York State.Our local community leaders also deserve much credit; our Mayor, Russell, Potter and our County Representative Dennis Simmons along with the prior leadership Gary Lopriore, former Port Jervis Mayor, and former County Representative Wayne Decker.
