AkzoNobel has rolled out Dissolvine GL-47-S (INCI: Tetrasodium glutamate diacetate), a new chelating agent that is NTA-free and based on renewable resources. Dissolvine GL-47-S is said to be an excellent addition to green formulas that are becoming more popular in the personal care industry, according to AkzoNobel. It’s the latest edition to the Dissolvine line of chelating agents for cosmetics and personal care products. Based on aminopolycarboxylic compounds ranging from tetrasodium- to disodium-based products. All the Dissolvine chelating agents have a strong affinity to metal ions and can counteract their destructive effects to improve the shelf life of personal care products.
At the same time, AkzoNobel unveiled DynamX H2O polymer at the NYSCC Suppliers’ Day. The water-based, alcohol-free ingredient enables formulators to combine excellent, long-lasting hold and humidity resistance with flexible, movable, natural motion in styling products.
