The American Cleaning Institute (ACI) Board of Directors welcomed executives from Henkel Consumer Goods Inc. and Novozymes as its newest members of ACI’s governing body.
Eric Schwartz, general manager, Laundry & Home Care, Henkel Consumer Goods; and Cynthia Bryant, director of business development and marketing, Household Care Division, Novozymes, were elected at the ACI Board’s November meeting in Washington, D.C.
They are filling out the terms of former Directors Greg Tipsord, Henkel, and Anders Lund, Novozymes, which run through January 2012.
Member companies of ACI will vote on a slate of Directors during ACI’s 2012 Annual Meeting and Industry Convention, which takes place Jan. 30-Feb. 4 in Orlando, Florida.The term of office for Board members is two years.
“The ACI Board of Directors is fortunate to have top-flight business executives from across the cleaning product supply chain in our association’s leadership,” said Ernie Rosenberg, ACI President and CEO.
In other news, The Board also elected Joanne Thelmo, ACI’s new vice president and general counsel, as ACI’s corporate secretary. Her previous positions include general counsel and senior vice president at the National Community Pharmacists Association; senior business affairs attorney at the Corporation for Public Broadcasting; associate general counsel at Conservation International; and corporate counsel at France Telecom North America.
Thelmo has served as a law clerk for the United States Senate Subcommittee on Administrative Oversight and the Courts and clerked for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development Board of Contract Appeals.She is a member of the District of Columbia and United States Supreme Court bars.
