CEOs from Amway, Clorox and Ecolab will star in a special presentation during the American Cleaning Institute’s 2013 annual meeting and industry convention. The theme of the event is “Educating Today, Sustaining Tomorrow,” and will be held Jan. 28-Feb. 2, 2013 at the Grande Lakes Orlando, FL.
“The annual meeting is the global meeting for the cleaning products industry,” noted Ernie Rosenberg, CEO, American Cleaning Institute. “Everybody that you need to meet is there.”
Rosenberg noted that as of early January, more than 750 industry executives from more than 20 countries had registered for the event.
“Attendance is up, sponsorship is up and the number of companies participating in the annual meeting and industry convention is up,” said Rosenberg. “It reflects the revitalization in the industry and underscores the fact that there is real value here.”
During an Executive Leadership Panel on Jan. 31, Doug Baker of Ecolab Inc., Donald Knauss of The Clorox Company and Steve Van Andel of Amway will express their views on a variety of issues. The session will be moderated by ABC television broadcast journalist Forrest Sawyer.
A public policy session on Feb. 1 will include former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson and former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge. Dana Perino, political commentator for Fox News and former White House Press Secretary for George W. Bush will be the moderator.
Other highlights of the ACI annual meeting and industry convention will include global industry update provided by international association executives, including Craig Brock, policy and public affairs director, Accord Australasia Limited; Shannon Coombs, president, Canadian Consumer Specialty Products Association; Shigeo Ishii, senior managing director, Japan Soap & Detergent Association; Sylvie Lemoine, director, technical and regulatory affairs, AISE (Europe) and Eugenia Maria Saldanha, executive president, ABIPLA (Brazil).
A special session on The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act will include a presentation by Jacqueline Wolff, a partner with Manatt, Phelps & Philipp LLB. Wolff will discuss the current enforcement climate, the key elements of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and best practices toaccomplish your goals.
