P&G may be ready to announce a replacement for A.G. Lafley. The announcement could come as early as the closing of the company’s board meeting today.
According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, David Taylor will be named chief executive officer.
Taylor is currently group president, global beauty, grooming and health care. He joined P&G in 1980 as a production manager at the firm’s Greenville, NC facility. In 1998, Taylor was named general manager, Hong Kong and China hair care, and he then progressed through a number of international posts before being named president, global family care in 2005 and president, global home care in 2007.
Lafley rejoined the company two years ago, having served as P&G’s president and CEO from 2000 to 2009.
