Beauty has also been a high-engagmenet category and now more than ever before, it is high-tech too. Today, in fact, marks the first ever Beauty Tech Showcase and Summit held in connection with the giant Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the mecca of all things high-tech/connected.
The people and brands taking part in this debut beauty-centric summit include:
• Jenna Blaha, tech editor at Marie Claire. Blaha is the first ever tech editor at a women’s lifestyle magazine.
• Francesca Dubsky, director of marketing at HairMax, which offers topicals for thinning hair as well as hair growth laser medical devices for at-home use.
• Andrea DiNunziio, chief marketing officer at device maker Iluminage Beauty. DiNunziio has served as CMO at Laura Mercier and Zeno and has also worked with L’Oréal, Avon and Neutrogena.
• Antonius Hanegraaf, vice president business development atForeo, maker of theLuna facial cleansing.
• Stacey Levine, co-founder and COO of GLO Science, the firm behind the GLO Brilliant Personal Teeth Whitening Device.
• Dan Obegi, CEO of JeNu, the firm touting an ultrasonic infuser that provides six times the absorption of skin care products. Prior to JeNu, Obegi was CEO of DermStore.com.
• James Lovgren, chief business officer at biotech firm ORIG3N.
• Moj Mahdara, CEO and founder of Beautycon Media, which operates Beautycon Festivals, Beautycon Box, and Beautycon Digital.
• Jennifer Tidy, vice president, partnerships, at ModiFace, the augmented reality technology provider that works with Vichy, L’Oreal, Unilever, Sephora, Yves Rocher and others.
