Bari Cosmetics is voluntarily withdrawing its Pure Ice Fixer Upper Cuticle Oil. This product is safe when used as intended; however, the viscosity level of Pure Ice Fixer Upper Cuticle Oil is such that it may require child-resistant caps, the New Windsor, NY-based company said.
Only 300 of these products had been sold to the public as of the announcement, and only at Walmart stores.
Bari Cosmetics is working with Walmart to ensure the immediate removal of Pure Ice Fixer Upper Cuticle Oil from Walmart’s shelves. Bari Cosmetics is reformulating the product and it will be re-launched in the future.
Bari Cosmetics is taking this action because Pure Ice Fixer Upper Cuticle Oil contains low-viscosity mineral oil, which could be harmful if accidentally inhaled by a child. No accidental inhalation by children of this product has been reported.
