Getting little ones to brush their teeth can be a trying task, and Tom's of Maine has enlisted Laurie Berkner, a children's singer and songwriter, to help with the task. Tom’s and Berkner have collaborated to create "Silly Brushing Song (Brush 'Em Up),” a song that helps promote a healthy oral care routine for families.
If you aren't familiar with Berkner, odds are, you aren't a parent of a children who is between toddler and tween. She has released eleven best-selling, award-winning albums, was the first recording artist ever to perform in music videos on Nick Jr., and appeared regularly on the network's Jack's Big Music Show. Her debut DVD, which went quadruple platinum, was the first-ever indie children's music DVD to enter Billboard's Top Music Video chart at No. 1.
"There is simply no one better than Laurie Berkner to help make tooth brushing fun for kids," said Lindsay McPherson, senior brand manager at Tom's of Maine. "We wanted to partner with her to help reinforce the importance of brushing for a full two minutes and to be part of helping parents establish naturally healthy habits that can last a lifetime."
"As a mom, I always want to set an example of healthy routines so this project appealed to me," said Berkner, who recently released her newest album, "Superhero." "I've seen how powerful music can be as a way to inspire children. I hope this song helps kids stick with brushing a little bit longer because we're taking an everyday routine and making it fun."
The music video includes a longtime Tom's of Maine favorite Silly Strawberry natural children's toothpaste alongside the brand's new Children's Toothbrush.
