Morre-Tec appointed Alice Benson Tenny to lead US business development in the northeastern part of the country. She will also be responsible for some of the company’s key cosmetics and personal care accounts.
Most recently, Tenny had been global technology director at Honeywell International where she was responsible for technical support and the development of additions to Honeywell’s product portfolio. Prior to that, she was director of cosmetic chemicals at Sumitomo Corp. of America, as well as previous technical positions at Biosil, Symrise, Lipo Chemicals, BASF and Estée Lauder.
In 1998, Tenny was a recipient of a National Society of Cosmetic Chemists Merit Award. She was granted a US patent for her aerosol hair spray composition in 1992. She is a former chairman of the New York Chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists and was the Suppliers’ Day chairman in 1998, 1994 and 1991. Currently, she is an exhibition committee member of the International Federation Society of Cosmetic Chemists. Tenny holds a masters degree in chemistrycosmetic science from Fairleigh Dickinson. She earned her bachelor of science in chemistry from Rutgers.
