The California Chapter of the SCC is tackling two topics at its first monthly meeting on 2017, which will be held at the Manhattan Beach Marriott on January 24. The first topic is gut health as it relates to dermal biology; the latter relates to best practices for one's career journey.
During the education hour at 5pm, Anthony Almada, M. Sc., founder and CEO of Vitargo Global Sciences; CEO, president, and co-founder of GENr8 Inc.; founder, president, and CSO of IMAGINutrition Inc and MetaResponse Sciences, will discuss “ Gut Response: How the Intestinal Microbiome Influences Dermal Biology (and the Converse).”
Almada's talk will explain what the "gut microbiome" consists of, its relevance to the personal care professional/scientist, how the microbiome effects the skin and how it can advantageously be manipulated. His discussion will further explore possible innovation opportunities involving the gut microbiome and personal care.
During the dinner hour, Frances Mazur, president of The Mazur Group, will cover how to be best prepared to land that right next step in one’s career and what you should know about working with a recruiter or doing it solo.
Members of $40 with reservations and non-members are $65 with reservations. Emeritus attendees are free with reservations.
