Englewood Lab has formed a strategic partnership with Nihon Kolmar in a move to expand its color cosmetics offerings worldwide.
“Creative innovation in R&D has been our primary objective since the company started,” explained David Chung, the company's founder. “Many of our current customers sell both skin care and makeup and utilizing the latest skin care technology is always our top priority. The significant investment by Nihon Kolmar, the leader in cosmetics research and development, and the No. 1 ranked contract manufacturer in Japan, will add significant growth potential and allow us to expand our portfolio worldwide. We both share the same core philosophy of staying at the forefront of innovation and technology and we are excited to bring this set of capabilities to the color cosmetics category for our customers.”
Established in 2004. Englewood Lab is a leading R&D house and contract manufacturer and research of luxury skin care in the US. With its strength in skin care development, expanding capabilities to color cosmetics was the next step in the evolution of the company, according to Chung. In 2015, Englewood Lab USA added 22,000 sq. ft. to its original corporate headquarters (adding to their R&D and manufacturing divisions). Last year, a new 150,000 sq. ft. facility was purchased for manufacturing, innovation, packaging and distribution. The Englewood Lab Korea Innovation Center, established in October 2015, was created to serve as a product development arm in Asia by bringing cutting-edge technology to the US market. With each expansion, Englewood Lab continues to deepen their level of commitment to creating the most technologically advanced and performance driven products in the beauty industry, according to company executives.
