Premier Specialties has expanded its product portfolio and its staff. First, the company will market and sell the natural, sustainable ingredient portfolio of Atina Ativos Naturais, a Brazilian company based in Minas Gerais, Brazil
“Partnering with Atina expands Premier’s natural cosmetic offer with regional sourcing founded on a transparent supply chain as well as joint technical development opportunities,” said Lisa Bouldin, president, Premier Specialties.
Atina Ativos Naturais, managed by Eduardo Roxo, has built a prosperous business established on ethical, sustainable arrangements with local Brazilian raw materials suppliers and the natural assets at their disposal, according to Premier Specialties. The Wawhite Babassu Powder in the Atina portfolio has recently received the Origens Brasil compliant, granted approval. Other products in the range meet standards as outlined by FSC, Ecocert, Anvisa and CGEN.
“Meeting and complying with several rigorous standards as well as having EFfCI certification allows Atina to expand and develop the range further, based on Brazilian biodiversity. We are excited to have Premier exclusively market our products in North America where we can jointly grow this effort,” said Roxo.
In other news, Francesca Muia has joined Premier Specialties, as senior account executive, reporting to Bouldin. Muia has over 15 years’ experience on the personal care ingredients side of the business with a creative marketing and commercial focus working most recently for Solvay as the global marketing Mmanager and Lonza (formerly Arch Personal Care Products) as a commercial marketing manager. In her role, Muia will handle fragrance and cosmetic ingredient accounts in the Northeast US and Canada.
