US Patent No. 9,610,241 B2; L’Oréal, Paris, has patented a process for treating straightened keratin fibers. The process is comprised of applying to the straightened keratin fibers a composition that contains at least one carboxylic acid in its acid or salified form, wherein the molecular weight of the carboxylic acid is less than 250, and wherein the total amount of carboxylic acid is at least about 2% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition, and at least one component chosen from non-cellulosic polymers and fatty substances, wherein the pH of the composition ranges from about 3 to about 8.
