Acme-Hardesty, a division of Jacob Stern and Sons, Inc. and an industry leader in sustainable specialty ingredients, has signed a letter of intent to enter into a distribution agreement with Botaneco, an innovative natural ingredient manufacturer in the personal care industry. Acme-Hardesty will be Botaneco’s channel partner for the personal care market on the East Coast, Southeast and Midwest.
Botaneco utilizes novel plant-based separation and purification technology to naturally disassemble oilseeds, creating innovative, value-added natural ingredients. Ingredients are sourced from sustainable safflower crops and are not altered or chemically modified, offering natural options from natural processes for personal care and cosmetic formulations.
“Botaneco offers bio-based ingredients with a low carbon footprint that will be an exciting addition to our personal care portfolio,” said Graeme Biggin, Director of Business Development for Acme-Hardesty. “These innovative, natural products will bring significant value to our personal care customers.”
“We view our partnership with Acme-Hardesty as another example of our commitment to success,” added Kathy Mish, Marketing Manager for Botaneco. “Acme-Hardesty is a perfect fit for Botaneco because they have built their business on sustainability. We know Acme-Hardesty’s reputation in the industry and when you pair that with our technology, we add value, trust and performance to the personal care market.”
