YourGoodSkin— a new skincare range billed to “scientifically developed to help prevent skin problems before they occur”— is launching exclusively at select Walgreens stores and on Walgreens.com in the US and at Boots stores and on boots.com in the UK and Ireland. The launch marks the first time Walgreens has co-developed a brand with a community of “scientists, leading dermatologists and a community of thousands of women who tested, input on and validated the product,” according to Lyle Tick, managing director of Boots Retail USA.
According to Tick, the line was in development for more than five years, and “satisfies an untapped need in our brand portfolio and in the market by providing a scientifically proven solution for the healthy skin seeker at an affordable price.”
The hero product in the range is Balancing Skin Concentrate, according to the company. It is described as a lightweight serum designed to be used twice a day between the cleanser and moisturizer to help achieve visibly healthier skin in just 28 days. Key ingredients include a multi-action antioxidant complex of green tea, vitamin C, vitamin E and lipochroman; Japanese lily turf root; and sphinganine, a naturally occurring oil that is bio-identical to lipids found in the skin.
The full range encompasses more than 20 products.
Some 20 efficacy trials were conducted on the range, including three clinical trials on the Balancing Skin Concentrate alone, said Walgreens.
