Eye makeup “buzz” grew across almost all formats but not eyeliner, according to Influenster, which yesterday revealed insights about what’s been trending on its platform.
During its Beauty Insights Breakfast held yesterday at its HQ office in New York city, the firm said that eyeshadow palettes, false eyelashes, eyelid primers, mascara and eyebrow gels, pencils and powders saw increased buzz, but the same didn't hold true for eyeliner. The product category saw buzz activity dip by 6%.
However, the defined eye look isn’t waning. Influenster co-founder/president Elizabeth Scherle pointed to data from the site that shows color fans are instead using a number of different eye products to create a dramatic look.
