Beiersdorf was recently awarded two skin care related patents.
The first—US Patent No. 9,820,919 B2—covers an emulsifier-free cosmetic or dermatological preparation that comprises one or more polyacrylic acid polymers, one or more fatty alcohols and at least one wax and/or a mixture of liquid and solid hydrocarbons having a melting range according to DSC (Differential Scanning calorimetry) of from 5° C. to 75° C. The preparation has a granular structure comprising one or more crystallites having a particle size of from 5 to 500 μm on 4 mm2 area of the preparation in a layer thickness of 0.15 mm+/−0.02 mm.
The second, US Patent 9,820,930 B2, cover an an aqueous, surfactant-containing, cosmetic preparation that is transparent and comprises one or more associative A-MA polymers and one or more additional polymers which comprise at least one polymer selected from polysaccharides and derivatives thereof, hyaluronic acid, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, polyquaternium-10, and polyacrylates.
