Cheng started his career in the marketing & sales team at Nisso America Inc. where he grew its flagship excipient polymers business in North & South America, with a particular focus on the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, cosmetics, personal care, and industrial markets. He later joined the BASF Corporation Pharma Solutions group to lead sales, business development and account management activities at key customers in the US market. Cheng holds an M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Rochester and earned dual B.A./M.A. degrees with high honors from Brandeis University.
