Shiseido promoted Jill Scalamandre as president of Bare Escentuals. She will oversee both the BareMinerals and Buxom brands.Scalamandre is also president of Shiseido’s Global Makeup Center of Excellence in New York City.
She is a seasoned executive in the beauty industry with deep experience that spans mass and luxury brands, all personal care categories and multiple distribution channels, including mass, specialty store, department store, home shopping, club and direct. At Coty, Scalamandre was responsible for leading the marketing strategies of the philosophy and Lancaster brands and for the global expansion of philosophy. Prior to joining Coty, Scalamandre served as the chief marketing officer at Chrysallis Inc., where she led the development and execution of strategic business initiatives to build a portfolio of brands including Strivectin and NIA24, while also providing strategic input for potential future acquisitions.
Scalamandre also served as senior vice president, global beauty brands, at Avon Products, Inc. and managing director of Prada Beauty. She began her career at Revlon.
