For the 12th year in a row, Henkel recognized the contributions of its suppliers during the American Cleaning Institute Annual Meeting & Industry Convention in Orlando, FL.
In the personal care category, Evonik won the top prize for an opacifier that is free of microplastics. Based on glycol distearate, the opacifier is readily biodegradable. The material provides a creamy and caring appearance while avoiding milky or cloudy distribution. Also recognized in the category were Symrise for SymOcide PT, a broad spectrum preservative that is billed as an MIT replacement, and Croda for its Venuceane biotechnology molecule. Derived from deep sea extract, it fights against aggressive oxidative influences to protect hair.
In the home care category, Novozymes took top honors for its work on Somat autodish. Novozyme provided insightful research, a compelling sales demo and an enzyme that provides outstanding performance on dried fibers, according to Henkel. BASF was recognized for contributing a new care component for Perwoll Renew Advanced with Fibrex Tech, which actively cares for clothes by renewing colors and fibers. According to BASF, it strengthens the fiber to keep the shape of the textile. Also recognized was Firmenich, for its Aqua Scent technology which provides superior and multisensorial scent experience to Henkel's Bref line of toilet bowl cleaners.
In the best supply performance, Solvay won the top prize for excellent operational performance. Henkel executives noted Solvay's support during shortages in LATAM and EMEA. Solvay also provided best-in-class service levels and continued progress in cash-value-performance. Second prizes went to Stepan for its proactive risk management during critical market situations and supply bottlenecks, and Symrise for securing supply of critical aroma chemicals during tight market situations.
