Drunk Elephant has reformulated one of its most popular moisturizers, Lala Retro Whipped Cream. The new version, which will be available in July, features an added plant ceramide complex, which provides a replenishing barrier support by reinforcing the skin's acid mantle and defending against the effects of everyday stressors, according to brand.
Customers can see the new SKU in person ahead of the official launch date as Drunk Elephant is opening up a pop-up store—House of Drunk—today in New York City. The indie brand describes the House of Drunk opportunity as an “immersive experience to physically see and feel how ceramides benefit the skin.”
The shop, located in Soho, is the brand’s first North American pop-up experience. Previously, House of Drunk was open in London and Singapore.
Open to the public during select dates and times through June 23, the 1,300-square foot space features a whimsical acid trip theme, a nod to the beneficial glycolic, tartaric, lactic and citric acids used in the brand’s products such as T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum and T.L.C Sukari Babyfacial.
In line with Drunk Elephant's "clean compatible" ethos, the newly-reformulated product has been infused with six rare African oils and a plant ceramide complex to reinforce and defend the skin. This new formulation helps skin retain long-lasting moisture and combats signs of aging, making it a dream-come-true for tired, dry skin. Lala Retro Whipped Cream with Ceramides can be applied anytime for nourishing relief from dryness, or mixed with any Drunk Elephant product as part of a total skincare solution.
