Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients (PCHi), a sourcing platform for the global personal care industry, has highlighted what will feature prominently at PCHi 2020, which will be held at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center (SWEECC) in China from 26-28 February 2020.
Now in its 13th year, PCHi is an annual gathering for ingredient suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, formulators, researchers and academics to meet and discover state-of-the-art technologies, conduct business deals, network with peers from across the globe and glean deep insights from industry experts at the various knowledge platforms.
At PCHi 2020, attendees will see the latest innovations and services for the beauty and personal care market, put forth by more than 600 exhibitors hailing from 30 countries and regions.
Real Steps Toward Sustainability
Discussions around environmental issues have dominated news headlines globally in the last few months. Responding to the personal care industry’s journey toward achieving sustainability, PCHi will be introducing a new feature area: the PCHi Sustainability Zone—a showcase of specific products and technologies that demonstrate exhibitors’ efforts in sustainable development.
DSM, one of PCHi’s key exhibitors for this zone, is a firm believer of environmental sustainability and the company’s Personal Care and Aroma Ingredients Business Unit has been helping customers embrace industry specificities since 2017.
“Each year, visitors uncover some of the latest industry developments at PCHi. For the coming edition, on top of what’s currently trending, we endeavor to offer attendees a glimpse into the future of beauty,” shared Peter Liu, PCHi project manager at Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions. “Sustainability has been a hot topic for some time now, and many leading companies have already rolled out strategies to minimize the impact their businesses have on the environment. With the new PCHi Sustainability Zone, we hope to encourage more of these efforts throughout the industry supply chain to bring about tangible changes for future generations.”
Apart from a static display, a select group of exhibitors will also be sharing more about their products, services or business practices at the PCHi Sustainability Forum. Attendees keen on gaining more insight and inspiration should plan to explore the showcase and keynote presentations in Hall 2.
Perennial Key Features to Expect
Some of PCHi’s crowd-favorite feature areas such as PCHi Fountain Awards, New Product Showcase, New Technology Sessions and PCHi Conference will again be present at the show. Visitors can expect a wide-range of the latest ingredients and technologies and a comprehensive education program, similar to what they had seen and valued at past editions.
Of special mention is a free-to-attend series of keynote presentations titled ‘PCHi Conference Plenary Talks: Trend-driven Innovations for a Smart Future’. Held on February 26 and delivered in two languages (simultaneous translation), the Plenary Talks will feature some of the world’s most authoritative market trends analysts, industry experts and formulators. The sessions are also designed to provide attendees with an overview of the global personal care market trends and latest formulation technology, covering a broad range of highly sought-after conference topics.
Complementing the Plenary Talks are individual Break-out Sessions that allow delegates to delve deeper into separate, elective conference tracks, such as:
Relaunch of Online Presence
While a large part of the show experience takes place onsite, the recent website relaunch enhances the PCHi journey for both exhibitors and visitors alike. The portal now features a brand-new visual design and interactive system, which allows greater ease of navigation to obtain information about PCHi 2020.
Lie commented, “First impressions are formed at the point someone decides to search us up online, and it’s important that we present our best at every point of interaction – whether in person or on the Internet. PCHi has established for itself a certain following, but we’ll still put in every effort to make each edition better than the last. We look forward to welcoming the best of the beauty and personal care industry to the first trade event of the calendar year in Shanghai next February.”
